Welcome

Welcome to our annual report for 2021-22.
What a year it has been for Phoenix. We’re back out into our community, we welcomed residents from 1,500 homes in Grove Park and we’re writing to you now as your new Chair and Chief Executive.
It’s important to start by recognising that the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic continued this year.
We’d like to say a big thank you to our caretakers, estate services, housing officers and repairs teams who continued to work out in our community throughout the pandemic. Many other staff worked mainly from home but remained committed to delivering the services our residents deserve.
We’d also like to say thank you to you! Resident involvement has not stopped. Some activities took place online during the pandemic, but we continued to work together to build a better future for our Phoenix community. Many of you have also been engaging with us virtually. In May 2021, we launched our ‘MyPhoenix’ self-service portal, with over 1,500 residents now accessing our services online.
More recently it’s been great to get back out and engage with many of you at our resident events. After a two-year hiatus, we held our Phoenix Festival this year, with over 4,000 residents and members of the community joining us on the day. We’ve re-opened our community space, The Green Man, to the public and have held our first events at the WG Grace Centre for residents in the Grove Park area.
We would like to extend a huge welcome to all new residents, including those who transferred over from L&Q in November 2021.
This report shares more of our highlights and a glimpse at what’s to come so that we can keep building on and improving our services.
If you have any questions as you’re reading the report or if you want to find out more, please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you!
